my guy is smart too...
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Studying cows, pigs and chickens can help an actor develop his character. There are a lot of things I learned from animals. One was that they couldn't hiss or boo me.
The gratification comes in the doing, not in the results.
The only greatness for man is immortality.
When an actor plays a scene exactly the way a director orders, it isn't acting. It's following instructions. Anyone with the physical qualifications can do that.
To grasp the full significance of life is the actor's duty; to interpret it his problem; and to express it his dedication.
Trust and belief are two prime considerations. You must not allow yourself to be opinionated.
If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, if he can live on after he's dead, then maybe he was a great man.
I also became close to nature, and am now able to appreciate the beauty with which this world is endowed.
Being a good actor isn't easy. Being a man is even harder. I want to be both before I'm done.
Being an actor is the loneliest thing in the world. You are all alone with your concentration and imagination, and that's all you have.
But you can't show some far off idyllic conception of behavior if you want the kids to come and see the picture. You've got to show what it's really like, and try to reach them on their own grounds.
Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.
you've just finished reading some famous James Dean words!

Valentine's Day Ad.wmv

) despre frumusete ...

why so serious? let's put a smile on that face!
dar de ce e jokerul un rol periculos? pentru ca, asa cum il descrie si alfred in film el este un criminal atipic. some people aren't looking for logical things, like money.they can't be bought, bullied or reasoned with. some people just wanna watch the world burn. si,evident, se poate intampla sa devii prins de filosofia personajului tau. eu daca as juca jokerul nu as avea problema asta , filosofic vorbind, suntem similari. si eu as jefui banca mafiei pentru ca apoi sa ard banii, si eu sunt de acord cu faza cu cele doua vase, unul cu detinuti si altul cu civili si cu ideea de ai pune sa se detoneze sau nu reciproc - si in realitate sigur nu ar iesi cu bine ca in film, pentru ca oamenii sunt mult mai ipocriti de atat ( si nu, eu nu as paria pe detinuti, civilii cu copii sunt probabil primii care s-ar decide sa arunce celalalt vas in aer). deci,ce face rolul asta periculos esti faptul ca personajul nu reactioneaza deloc ca un om social. el nu este deloc o parte a societatii. el este cat se poate de antisocial. motivul? jokerul este misterios, dar cred ca motivul sau este unul simplu: ipocrizia oamenilor. am inteles asta la un moment dat cand vorbea despre reguli.oamenii le respecta cand totul e ok, normla, dar cand se intampla ceva, dintr-o data regula sfanta devine irelevanta. ceea ce vrea jokerul este ca oamenii sa aiba principii - sau sa nu le aiba si sa recunoasca deschis ca sunt niste lasi, niste mincinosi etc. jokerul este practic, foarte infantil si cum nu intelege pocrizia asta generala se decide sa-i faca pe toti, dar absolut pe toti, sa plateasca.

the edukastors

aveam de un an de zile in gand sa vad american hardcore (documentar despre scena hardcore si evolutia ei) dar nu am avut timp si inspiratie pana in vacanta asta. e foarte misto de vazut daca esti cu pancu, si e misto de vazut si daca nu esti. muzica e evident foarte tare, filmul terminandu-se apoteotic cu 'hahaha' de la flipper. una din fazele amuzante care mi-au ramas fixate in minte e despre o trupa numita Millions of Dead Cops care aveau o melodie intitulata 'Corporate Deathburger'. numai numele mi se par haioase. dar faza si mai tare e ca,dupa un concert au venit niste skinhezi la solist ca sa-si exprime admiratia si respectul si etc, la care tipul le-a zis 'you know what? i'm gay.'

the real beauty
If the world that we are forced to accept is false and nothing is true,
then everything is possible.
On the way to discovering what we love, we will find everything we hate,
everything that blocks|our path to what we desire.
The comfort will never be comfortable for those who seek what is not on the market.
A systematic questioning of the idea of happiness.
We'll cut the vocal chords of every empowered speaker.
We'll yank the social symbols through the looking glass. We'll devalue society's currency.
To confront the familiar.
Society is a fraud so complete and venal...
that it demands to be destroyed beyond the power of memory|to recall its existence.
Where there's fire, we will carry gasoline.
Interrupt the continuum of everyday experience...
and all the normal expectations that go with it.
To live as if something actually depended on one's actions.
To rupture the spell of the ideology of the commodified consumer society...
so that our oppressed desires of a more authentic nature can come forward.
To demonstrate the contrast between what life presently is and what it could be.
To immerse ourselves in the oblivion of actions and know we're making it happen.
There will be an intensity never before known in everyday life...
to exchange love and hate, life and death,
terror and redemption, repulsions and attractions.
An affirmation of freedom so reckless and unqualified,
that it amounts to a total denial of every kind of restraint and limitation.

am mai vazut filme cu Michael Pitt si mi-a placut cum joaca tipul. si am vazut si last days, film in care el il interpreteaza pe Kurt Cobain...in timp ce incercam sa nu adorm ma intrebam daca cei care au facut filmul nu s-au plictisit si ei in timpul filmarilor.eu din filmul ala nu am inteles nimic.l-am considerat o porcarie. singurul aspect pe care l-am apreciat a fost cel vizual.si mi-am facut o parere proasta si despre Pitt pentru ca citisem pe undeva ca ii plac Nirvana, ca Kurt Cobain e idolul lui si ca are o trupa in care canta grunge.and i was like, yeah right!this is just hollywood shit! credeam ca e o chestie de publicitate si ca tipul e un ipocrit.si logic, asta m-a enervat.acum,ma gandesc sa revad filmul.motive?unul singur:PAGODA.trupa in care canta Michael Pitt.

yet another movie
i just saw 'American Beauty'. it's just what i needed- a twisted bitter-sweet film. 'American Beauty' is, of course, a movie about Beauty.the whole thing is describing what the character played by Kevin Spacey sees while dying, not his whole life, just the late happenings and those random beautiful things we love about the ones we care.one of the things he then remembers is his grandmother's paper resembling skin. the whole film is fascinating, the characters, the lines, the actors, the red blood hue which appears throughout the film (like an offence to the dull reality or like an illomen).
this are Lester's last toughts:
'it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life...You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure... but don't worry...You will someday.'
